Shalom Ronli-Riklis was born on January 24, 1922 in Tel Aviv. He began his musical journey learning violin and piano under Vincze-Kraus at the Rubin Academy of Music. After graduating from Hebrew Gymnasium "Herzliya," he served in the Jewish Brigade and later joined the Orchestra Brigade as a conductor. Ronli-Riklis conducted the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) orchestra from 1949 to 1960, enhancing its quality and prominence. He developed the Youth Corps, which won first prize at the Queen Juliana competition for orchestras in Kerkrade, Netherlands, three times: 1958, 1962, and 1966. After his IDF service, Ronli-Riklis worked with the Israel Radio Orchestra. In 1971, he was appointed deputy conductor of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra by Zubin Mehta and founded Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 1984. He also established Singapore's classical music scene in 1961. Ronli-Riklis died on January 27, 1994, in Tel Aviv.
