Jane Sheldon, born in Sydney, Australia, is an Australian soprano. Her breakthrough came with the recording of "Eliza Aria" from Elena Kats-Chernin's ballet Wild Swans in 2005, which was later used extensively in advertisements for British bank Lloyds TSB and as theme music for Phillip Adams' ABC Radio National program Late Night Live. This recording earned a nomination for Best Classical Album at the 2005 ARIA Awards. Sheldon has performed with notable ensembles such as Sydney Chamber Opera and toured internationally with composer John Zorn. In 2018, she performed in the premier of Damien Ricketson's wordless opera The Howling Girls and in 2019 gave the Australian premiere of Kaija Saariaho’s La Passion de Simone. Her album I am a tree, I am a mouth, released in 2022.
