Marianne Kock, born Marianne Olga Maria Johansson on September 1, 1939, in Karlskrona, Sweden, was a Swedish pop and schlager singer. Adopted by Astrid and Allan Nilsson at birth, she began singing in school and church choirs from the age of nine. Kock's breakthrough came in 1960 when she was asked to perform at a dance event at the Nalen National Palace and was hired by theater director Gustaf Lindblom. She released her first single, "Tom Pillibi", on Fontana Records in 1961. Notable songs include "Om hela världen sjöng en sång", which reached Number 1 on the Swedish Svensktoppen charts in 1972. Kock also participated in the Melodifestivalen with "Men vore du endast en visa" in 1967 and toured extensively, including performances in Poland, Malta, and the Soviet Union. To celebrate her 60th stage anniversary in 2019, an exhibition was held in her honor in Blekinge.
