Their debut album Potato + Tijuana in Blue was released in 1986. The group's lineup evolved over the years, with notable changes including the addition of Mikel on guitar and Jokin on bass. Tijuana in Blue released several albums, including A bocajarro (1988), ¡Sopla, sopla! (1989(, and Sembrando el pánico (1990). In 1992, after releasing seven studio albums and performing numerous concerts, the band disbanded. They reunited briefly in 2002 to record a live album, Antes de perder el riego, before disbanding again in 2003.
