Nidarosdomens Guttekor, a Norwegian boys' choir, has its origins that can be found as early as the 12th century. The choir has been closely linked to Trondheim Katedralskole and represents a tradition of boy choristers at Nidaros Cathedral dating back nearly 900 years. In the autumn of 1927, the choir was re-established under conductor Erik Saltnessand. Over the decades, notable conductors have included Ludvig Nielsen from 1948 to 1973, Bjørn Moe from 1973 to 2023, and Thomas Berg-Juul since 2023. The choir has released numerous albums, including Våre Vakreste Salmer Og Sanger (1996), Jul Med Guttekoret (1999), Evige Øyeblikk (2003), Frelsesarmeens Juleplate (2004), I Wish (2008), and Juletrompeten med Kai Robert og Nidarosdomens Guttekor (2016) with trumpeter Kai Robert and others. The choir has built an international reputation through tours, performances on radio and TV, as well as numerous CD recordings.
