The Chinkees, an American ska punk band fronted by Mike Park, debuted in 1997. The group released their first album, The Chinkees Are Coming!, in April 1998, followed by Peace Through Music in July 1999 and Searching for a Brighter Future in May 2002. After extensive tours across Mexico, Japan, Europe, and the UK, they released a greatest hits album, Plea for Peace: Best of The Chinkees, in 2003. The band went on hiatus following their UK tour with Potshot in 2002 but reunited briefly in 2010 and 2011, performing at Punks in Vegas concert in May 2013. In 2020, they released a new four-song EP titled K.A. Music.
