The Honor System was an American punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1999. The group was founded by Dan Hanaway and Rob DePaola and briefly featured Tim McIlrath on bass. It released a demo in 1999 featuring the songs “Fool's Gold”, “Single File”, and “Facelift”. Its debut album, Single File, was released in 2000. Tyler Wiseman joined the band on guitar in 2001. The Honor System released the album Rise and Run (2003) before entering a hiatus. Their songs include “The Blaming Game” and “Muffled by Concrete”.
