Superstar Fiona Sit, born August 11, 1981 in Hong Kong, got an early break in the music business thanks to her music executive uncle, Peter Wong. Her first album, 2004’s F Debut, included the number one single “Keanu Reeves Reply” and quickly established her a Cantopop star. She captured numerous Best New Artists awards, leading to a very eventful 2005. That year saw the release of her album Funnygirl, as well as number 1 singles “A Boy Just Like You” and “886”. That same year she had a major role in the TV series The Academy that required her to cut her long hair, an act that caused major backlash from her fans. She had a huge success with her debut film, 2 Young, which was a box office smash and earned her nominations for Best Newcomer from numerous organizations. She maintained her superstar status in film and music even as she worked to crack the Mandopop scene, achieving that goal with the 2008 album It’s My Day.
