Aarif Rahman is a versatile Hong Kong actor and singer-songwriter of mixed Arab, Malay, and Chinese descent who entered the entertainment industry after earning a physics degree from Imperial College London. Born on February 26, 1987, in Hong Kong, he first made a name for himself as a songwriter and award-winning musician before transitioning into a highly successful acting career. Some of his albums are Starting from Today (2009), Everything (2011) and Aarif's Love (2014). He gained widespread acclaim for his debut film role in Echoes of the Rainbow, which earned him the Hong Kong Film Award for Best New Performer, and later solidified his stardom through diverse roles ranging from Bruce Lee in the biopic Bruce Lee, My Brother to Emperor Gaozong in the hit historical drama The Empress of China. His career has since expanded into major Chinese productions, including the action-comedy Kung Fu Yoga alongside Jackie Chan and the fantasy series Princess Silver. He has also contributed to soundtracks of films and television series, including "若雪" for 白髮 in 2019 and "我想告诉你" for 合法伴侣 in 2021.
