Pierrette Adams, born Alméida Duarte Pierrette Rolande on May 5, 1962, in Pointe-Noire, Congo, is a Congolese singer. She began her career as an air hostess for Air Afrique and released her debut album Journal Intime in 1994 with the help of Boncana Maïga. This album was inspired by a television program about abused children. Adams continued to release albums including Mal de Mère (1996), Je Vous Salue Maris (1999), and Anesthésie (2003). She has collaborated with notable artists such as Alpha Blondy. Adams received the Grand Prix de la Fondation Children of Africa in 2014 and was named Ambassador of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Côte d'Ivoire in 2001 for her efforts against poverty and advocacy for peace.
