Will Fyffe, born on February 16, 1885, in Dundee, Scotland, was a Scottish music hall and performing artist who appeared on stage and screen. He began performing at age six with his father's stock company, traveling extensively throughout the UK. In the 1930s, Fyffe became one of Britain's highest-paid musical hall artists, appearing in numerous films and recording over 30 songs. His most notable composition is "I Belong to Glasgow", which was covered by several artists, including Danny Kaye and Eartha Kitt. As a character actor, he collaborated with prominent actors such as Finlay Currie and John Gielgud. He was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1942. Fyffe died on December 14, 1947.
