Bruce Dickey, born in 1948 in the United States of America, is a prominent cornett player. He attended Indiana University School of Music and began his career as a teacher for students enrolled in Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and the Early Music Institute at Indiana University.In 1987, he co-founded the ensemble Concerto Palatino with Dutch baroque trombonist Charles Toet, inspired by the original eight-member Concerto Palatino della Signoria di Bologna. Dickey is also known for founding Artemisia Editions with Candace Smith, focusing on publishing editions of 17th-century Italian sacred music. His notable album releases include La Bella Minuta: Florid Songs for Cornetto around 1600, released in 2011. Throughout his career, he also released the albums Nature’s Secret Whispering - Music And The Cosmology Of Johannes Kepler (2020), On The Breath Of Angels (2021), and Ex Tenebris Ad Lucem - Venetian Music O Penitence From The Time Of Plague (1575-77) (2023).
