Virtuosi Saxoniae, a German chamber orchestra based in Dresden, was founded in 1985 by Ludwig Güttler. The ensemble made its debut at the Dresdner Musikfestspielen in 1986, focusing on music from the 18th-century Dresden court, featuring composers such as Johann David Heinichen and Jan Dismas Zelenka. Their repertoire includes works by Antonio Vivaldi, Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann, and others. The orchestra consisted mainly of musicians from the Sächsische Staatskapelle and occasionally performs larger-scale works with additional members. They have collaborated with various ensembles like the Dresdner Kreuzchor and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin.
