Finbarr Dwyer, born on September 20, 1946 in Castletownbere, County Cork, Ireland, was an accordionist from the Dwyer musical family. He began playing the accordion at age three and composing music by nine. His parents and siblings were also musicians. In 1969, he won the All-England accordion title. Dwyer released several albums throughout his career, including Irish Traditional Accordionist (1970) with Teresa McMahon on piano, and Kitty's Rambles. He composed numerous tunes such as "Beare Island Reel" and "Holly Bush". Dwyer passed away on February 8, 2014 in Mallow, County Cork.
