Sean McGuire, born on December 26, 1927 in Belfast, was an Irish fiddler known for his contributions to traditional music. He began his career as a fiddle champion, winning the All Ireland Fiddle Championship. In 1969, he released Irish Traditional Fiddling in 1969, recorded with Roger Sherlock on flute and Josephine Keegan on piano, and was later reissued under various titles. McGuire continued to collaborate with other musicians, releasing albums such as Champion of Champions (1969) with Josephine Keegan, At Their Best (1971) with Roger Sherlock and Josephine Keegan, and Two Champions (1971) with Joe Burke. Subsequent releases include Man of Achievement (1975) and From the Archives (1979). He passed away on March 24, 2005.
