Tinu Heiniger, born Martin Heiniger on February 4, 1946, in Emmental, Switzerland, is a Swiss folk musician and singer-songwriter. He began his career as a singer and has since become a prominent figure in the Swiss folk music scene. Heiniger's breakthrough came with early albums such as Es schysst mi a! (1976) and So Lüt wie anger Lüt (1978). His work often reflects the cultural heritage of Switzerland, with notable releases like Heimatland (2002) and Am See (2004). In 2004, Heiniger received the Music Prize of the Canton of Bern for his significant contributions to Bernese folk music. He also collaborated with other Swiss musicians on projects such as Scho so lang (2015), which featured Pudi Lehmann, Wolfgang Zwiauer, and Gert Stäuble.
