Georg Ringsgwandl, born on November 15, 1948, in Bad Reichenhall, Germany, is a singer-songwriter and cabaret artist. He grew up in modest circumstances, learning to play the zither at age eight and later taking up the trombone. During an extended hospital stay, he taught himself guitar. Ringsgwandl studied medicine from 1968 to 1975, earning his medical degree in Kiel. His musical career began with small performances during his residency at a Munich clinic. In 1986, he released his debut album Das Letzte. He won several awards including the Salzburger Bull in 1987 and the German Cabaret Award in 1988. Ringsgwandl's music blended traditional Bavarian folk with punk and rock elements. Notable albums include Trulla! Trulla! (1989), Vogelwild (1992), and Gache Wurzn (2000). He also authored several books.
