Lama Gyurme, born on September 26, 1948, in Bhutan, is a Buddhist teacher and singer known for his sacred chants. He began his musical journey at the Djang Tchoub Tcheu Ling monastery, where he received traditional training in music alongside his Buddhist education. His breakthrough came when he was appointed as Oumzé (master of ceremonies) by Kalou Rinpoché during a three-year retreat at Sonada Monastery. In 1974, Lama Gyurme moved to France and established the Kagyu-Dzong center in Paris. He released his first album, Souhaits Pour L'éveil - La Sérénité Des Chants Tibétains, in 1994 with Jean-Philippe Rykiel. This collaboration led to numerous concerts worldwide and a subsequent album, Rain Of Blessings - Vajra Chants, in 2000. In 1995, he contributed to the soundtrack of the film Himalaya : L'Enfance d'un chef. He founded Drayang Gyatso Ling in Barcelona in 2010 and released "Chants pour la Paix" in 2011.
