Niraj Chag is a British musical artist and composer. Raised by Gujarati parents who migrated from East Africa to the UK in the 1970s, Chag began making music at age 11 and was involved in various musical projects including a hip-hop group and his brother's Bollywood cover band. His first professional experience in music came when he worked on Mark Hill’s label, followed by moving to Outcaste Records where he released the single "Walk Alone" (1998) and contributed four tracks to the album Outcaste New Breed UK (1998). Chag's debut solo album, Along the Dusty Road, was released in 2006. He won Best Asian Underground at the UK Asian Music Awards in 2006. His second album The Lost Souls was released in 2009 and his third album, Mud Doll, followed in 2015.
