Ayub Ogada, born Job Seda in 1956 in Mombasa, Kenya, was a Kenyan singer, songwriter, and nyatiti player. He co-founded the African Heritage Band in 1979, blending traditional music with rock and soul, and was also a member of the bands Black Savage and Union Nowhere. He performed at the WOMAD Festival in 1988, leading to a recording session at Real World Studios and the release of his debut album En Mana Kuoyo (1993). His discography includes the albums Tanguru (1998) and Kodhi: Trevor Warren's Adventures with Ayub Ogada (2015), the posthumous album Omera: The Further Adventures of Trevor Warren with Ayub Ogada (2022), and the single "Dicholo" (2005). His song "Koth Biro" (1993) was featured in various soundtracks, including the film Samsara. He is credited as a co-songwriter on Kanye West's album Ye for the track "Yikes". He passed away on February 1, 2019.
