Nunzio Gallo, born on March 25, 1928, in Naples, Italy, was an Italian singer. He studied at the Conservatorio di San Pietro a Maiella and initially pursued a career as a lyric singer. His breakthrough came with his victory at the Festival of San Remo 1957 alongside Claudio Villa with "Corde della mia chitarra," which also marked his debut at the Eurovision Song Contest 1957, where he represented Italy and achieved sixth place. Gallo's career included notable releases such as Festival San Remo 1957 EP and winning the Festival of Naples in 1958 with Aurelio Fierro for "Vurria." He also ventured into acting, appearing in approximately 20 films. Nunzio Gallo passed away on February 22, 2008, following a cerebral hemorrhage the previous year.
