Miranda Martino, born on October 29, 1933, in Moggio Udinese, began her artistic career as a singer and actress of Neapolitan heritage. She entered the music scene in 1956, debuting at the Naples Festival in 1957 and at the Sanremo Festival in 1959 with the song "La vita mi ha dato solo te". Her commercial breakthrough came the same year when "Stasera tornerò" reached number 11 on the Italian hit parade. In the early 1960s, she released several albums, notably Napoli (1963), arranged by Ennio Morricone, and Napoli volume II (1966). She continued recording into the 1970s, issuing Donna…Amore…Dolore (1970) and Passione… (1971), while also appearing in films such as Paolo Barca, maestro elementare, praticamente nudista (1975). Subsequent releases included the 1995 album Neapolitan Songs and the 2000 release Napoli Mia Bella Napoli.
