Pedro Luis Ferrer Montes, born on September 17, 1952, in Yaguajay, Las Villas, Cuba, was a guitarist and composer. He began his musical journey at a young age, forming small groups in the mid-1960s and later joining notable bands such as Los Dada. In 1973, Ferrer released his debut LP Pedro Luis Ferrer, featuring hits like "Mariposa" and "Romance de la Niña mala". Throughout the 1980s, he created popular guarachas including "Inseminación artificial" and "Cómo me gusta 'hablal' español", and collaborated with Jesús Ortega. In the 1990s, Ferrer's work gained international recognition through tours in Europe and the United States, and notable songs like "Ciento por ciento cubano". He released several albums, including Rústico (2005) and Natural (2006).
