Adonis Puentes, born on March 29, 1974, in Artemisa, Cuba, is a Cuban-Canadian singer and jazz musician. He began his musical journey at the age of six, performing with his twin brother Alex Cuba in a children's guitar ensemble led by their father, Valentin Puentes. The brothers later formed the band Puentes Brothers, shifting into jazz fusion styles and gaining recognition in Canada. They were nominated for a Juno Award for Best Global Album in 2001. In 2004, Adonis Puentes launched his solo career, fronting the Voice of Cuba Orchestra and collaborating with notable artists such as José Rizo's projects Mongorama and Jazz on the Latin Side All Stars, as well as performing with Celia Cruz and Ruben Blades. His album Sabor A Café (2013), was shortlisted for World Music Album of the Year at the Juno Awards in 2014.
