Jonas Bering, a French musician, composer, and techno music remixer, was born on November 9, 1975, in Linselles. His debut album Bienfait was released in 2000, which marked the first vinyl solo artist release for the German label Kompakt. He was signed by Michael Mayer and Wolfgang Voigt, becoming the first non-German artist on the label. Following this breakthrough, Bering released the EP Emballages in 2000, and Marine in 2002. His second album, Sketches for the Next Season, was released in 2003. Notable collaborations include working with Kate Simko on Cityscape in 2007 and Aubelia Petit on "Can't Stop Loving You" in 2008. Bering's discography also includes the album Behind The Silence released in 2008, and various EPs such as Diva in 2004 and Lost Paradise in 2006.
