Peter Sebastian, born on January 8, 1958, in Fürth, Germany, is a singer, lyricist, music producer, and radio presenter. Raised on a farm with five siblings, Peter Sebastian began his musical career in 1981 as a performer of folk songs. He transitioned to German Schlager in the mid-1980s, achieved several minor successes with singles like "Ein schneeweißes Schiff" (1983) and "Immer wieder will ich doch nur Dich" (1986). In 1989, he achieved another minor hit with the re-release of Vico Torriani's "Du schwarzer Zigeuner". Collaborated in the track "Die Zwei" with Gino D’oro, Peter Sebastian released successful Schlager titles such as "Aber dich gibt's nur einmal für mich" and "Walzer der Rose". Notable achievements include receiving the Medaille für treue Arbeit im Dienste des Volkes from the Hansestadt Hamburg in 1995 and the Bundesverdienstkreuz am Bande in 2001 for his social engagement.
