Gabriele Baginski, known professionally as Gaby Baginsky, was born on 21 February 1954 in Salzbergen, Niedersachsen, Germany, and became a pop singer. After completing school, she studied music and received training in choreography and voice coaching, setting the stage for her entry into the music industry. Her first single was released in 1970, and she achieved her breakthrough in 1975 with the single "Häng die Gitarre nicht an den Nagel", which led to further releases and television appearances. Baginsky’s recording career spans several decades, beginning with the 1977 album Diebe Kommen Am Abend and continuing through a steady stream of studio releases such as Typisch… Gaby Baginsky (1996), Viel Gefühl (1998), Echte Wunder (2003), and Ich Würd' Das Alles Wieder Tun (2014). She also issued singles such as "Komm Und Tanz Mit Mir!" (2009) and "Beste Freundin" (2020). Her 1998 entry "Männer versteh'n nur was sie woll'n" earned her the Goldene Muse award at the German Schlager Festspiele. In addition to studio work, she performed on shows such as the ZDF Hitparade and the ARD Goldene Eins, and participated in the 1982 German Eurovision pre‑selection with "So wie Du bist".
