Cuarteto Flores, also known as Cuarteto de Pedro Flores, was a tropical music group founded by Puerto Rican composer and musician Pedro Flores in New York during the 1930s. The ensemble initially included Pedro Marcano, Ramón Quirós, Davilita, Yayito, and Pellín. Their first recordings were made in 1930. Over time, the group evolved from a quartet to a sextet and eventually into an orchestra, maintaining the name Cuarteto Flores. Notable members included Panchito Riset and Johnny Rodríguez. Pedro Flores faced issues with his publishing company and left for Mexico and later Cuba, where he lived for several years but did not regain his previous popularity. Upon returning to New York, he reformed the quartet under the direction of Moncho Usera, featuring vocalists Doroteo Santiago and Chencho Moraza, as well as Puerto Rican singers Daniel Santos and Myrta Silva.
