Mariangela Vacatello, born on January 22, 1982 in Castellammare di Stabia, Italy, is an Italian pianist. She began her musical journey at age four by attending Yamaha music classes. By seven, she studied under Aldo Tramma and later at the International Piano Academy "Incontri col Maestro" in Imola. Her breakthrough came at 14 when she performed Liszt’s 1st Piano Concerto with the Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra in Milan. She released the album Liszt: Études D'exécution Transcendante, in 2011, followed by Debussy: 12 Études in 2012. Vacatello has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall and the Wigmore Hall, and collaborated with notable orchestras such as the Philharmonic of Teatro alla Scala. She received numerous awards, including the Sterndale Bennett Scholarship and the Dame Myra Hess Award from the Musicians Benevolence Fund. In 2013, she staged "The Twilight Concert", an innovative performance in absolute darkness.
