Donato Racciatti di Nardo, born on October 18, 1918, in Guilmi, Italy, was a bandoneonist, orchestra director, and composer. He started his career with ensembles like Los Brujos and the Laurenz-Casella orchestra from 1940 to 1945. Racciatti formed his own tango orchestra in 1948 and began recording for Sondor the following year, releasing notable albums such as Papas Calientes / Esquinita de Mi Barrio (1949). He collaborated with prominent tango figures like Nina Miranda and Carlos Roldán, and his orchestra accompanied many renowned artists from Argentina and Uruguay. In the 1950s, he participated with his orchestra in musical comedies, including the Barrio de luna y tamboril. His discography includes A Era De Ouro Do Tango, Volume 3 (1977) and Cuando Llora La Milonga (1980). Racciatti passed away on May 27, 2000, in Montevideo, Uruguay.
