Aída Elsa Ada Falcone, known professionally as Ada Falcón, was born in 1905 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She began her career as a child performer, earning the moniker "La Joyita Argentina" before recording with RCA Victor in 1925, becoming one of the first Argentine women to record a disc. During her peak years between 1925 and 1938, she became a legendary tango figure through her extensive collaboration with Francisco Canaro, recording celebrated tracks such as “Yo no sé qué me han hecho tus ojos” and “La pulpera de Santa Lucía." Her filmography includes roles in Tu cuna fue un conventillo in 1925, Ídolos de la radio in 1934, and El festín de los caranchos in 1919. Falcón abruptly retired to a convent in 1942, and her legacy is preserved through collections such as Serie de oro from 2005 and Tango Collection from 2011.
