Kuervos del Sur was a Chilean rock band from Curicó, formed in 2003 by vocalist Jaime Sepúlveda and guitarist Pedro Durán. Their sound, often described as "rock de raíz," fused alternative rock with Latin American folk. Early influences included grunge bands such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam. The group released the debut album Porvenir in 2009, followed by the live recording En vivo en Sala Master in 2011. Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, they released El vuelo del Pillán in 2016, which won Best Rock Artist and Best Art at the 2017 Pulsar Awards. In 2019, they issued Canto a lo Brujo, featuring the singles "Rayo Violeta" and "El Brujo". The band performed at major festivals including Lollapalooza Chile and Vive Latino in Mexico. Their fourth studio album, De la luz, was released in 2023.
