De Saloon is a Chilean alternative rock band from Concepción who debuted in 1990. The group initially performed covers of bands such as The Smiths, The Cure, and Los Tres. In their later school years, the lineup consolidated into a smaller core, and in 1997 the group moved to Santiago to pursue a professional music career, eventually becoming a trio/quartet configuration that included Roberto Arancibia. After relocating, the band developed early recordings and demos, gaining radio attention with songs such as “Esfumar” and “Brígida.” In 2003, De Saloon released their self-titled debut album under the GmbH label, featuring the single “Té,” which became their breakthrough track. They followed with Morder (2004), which included “Quiero hacerte feliz." Subsequent albums included Abrázame (2006), Delicada Violencia (2008), Fortaleza (2010), and Mar de Nubes (2014).
