Difuntos Correa is a Chilean rock ensemble formed in 2003 in Santiago. The group was established by Sergio Gómez. Its debut studio recording, Tramposo amor, appeared in 2004 under the label EMI after receiving FONDART funding. The release featured caricatures of the members instead of photographs. The band released the recording “Arrepentido” and received a nomination for Best Young Band at the APES awards in 2004. In 2005, the group performed approximately 103 concerts. Gómez and his bandmates received a Gold record for their debut album in 2006. That year, the ensemble released the studio recording Resucitando la fe en un beso fatal, produced by Mario Mutis. The group toured Europe in 2008, performing in Spain, France, and Sweden. The band released the studio album Ilusionismo in 2009 under the Alerce label. Its fourth recording, El aprendiz, was released in 2013 through Plaza Independencia.
