Karl Moik, born June 19, 1938, in Linz, Austria, was a singer and television personality. Raised by his mother in Hallein near Salzburg, he began playing the piano and accordion at an early age. After completing a toolmaker apprenticeship, Moik pursued various jobs while performing with the jazz trio Jolly Austrians. Moik's breakthrough came in 1973 when he started hosting Volkstümliche Hitparade on ORF Oberösterreich. This success led to his most famous role: moderating Musikantenstadl, a popular music show that aired from 1981 onwards, first in Austria and later internationally. He released an album titled Bei Uns Daheim in 2004. Moik passed away on March 26, 2015 in Salzburg.
