Mikael Ramel, born on January 19, 1949, in Stockholm, is a Swedish singer and musician. He began his musical journey at an early age, participating in the television show Ramel i rutan with his father, Povel Ramel, in 1965, and released the single "En ren familjeprodukt" together. That same year, he formed the music group Steampacket, which released eight singles until 1968. In 1967, Ramel also released the solo single Mikael & Michael with Michael B. Tretow. His first solo album, Till dej, was released in 1972, followed by Extra vagansa (1974) and 3:dje skivan (1977). During the 1980s, Ramel continued his musical career with albums such as Strömavbrott (1982), Bra sak (1984), and En för alla (1986). In 1986, he was awarded the Karamelodiktstipendiet for his use of the Swedish language in music.
