Love Is Colder Than Death was a German band formed in Leipzig in 1989 by Maik Hartung, Sven Mertens, and Susann Heinrich. The group initially performed under the name Six Bones before changing to Love Is Colder Than Death after Ralf Donis joined in 1990. Their debut release, "Wild World", was released in 1991 under Hypnobeat and Hyperium Records. The band's early work blended electro-wave with neoclassical elements, setting a foundation for their future sound. Love Is Colder Than Death gained international recognition with albums like Teignmouth (1991) and Mental Traveller (1992). Notable works include Oxeia (1994) and Spellbound (1995). In 1997, they moved to Chrom Records and later established their own label, In Deyagora Music. Their album, Tempest, was released in 2013.
