Jon Anders Ekborg is a Swedish actor and singer born on October 9, 1960, in Stockholm. He achieved recognition for his roles as Karl Oskar in Kristina från Duvemåla and Freddie Trumper in Chess, musicals written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. Ekborg has also performed in Swedish-language versions of Jekyll and Hyde, Evita, and Jesus Christ Superstar. His music career includes the release of the 2006 album Äkta vara and the 2010 album Painted Dreams. In 2010, he participated in Melodifestivalen with the song “The Saviour”, which finished in sixth place in its heat. He followed this with the 2011 album En stilla jul. Throughout his career, Ekborg has toured extensively in Sweden, often accompanied by musicians Bengt Magnusson and Anders Lundqvist. His work in film includes roles in The Last Contract and Tomten är far till alla barnen. He was married to actress Lia Boysen from 1997 to 2012.
