Albrecht Schrader, born in 1983 in Hamburg, Germany, is a German composer, musician, entertainer, and label operator. He grew up in Hamburg‑Nienstedten and studied music, theater, film, television, and literature at the University of Cologne. Schrader's solo debut came in 2012 with the EP Jill McBain. In 2015, he released an instrumental album, Warm Hugs ’n Silly Grooves. In 2016, he gained broader recognition with the release of his EP Leben in der Großstadt and released his first pop album, Nichtsdestotrotzdem, in 2017. Schrader runs the music label Krokant (together with Florian Sievers) and released a biographical concept album, Diese eine Stelle, in 2020. From 2017 to early 2019, he co-led the Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Ehrenfeld with Lorenz Rhode, which toured Germany in 2018 and 2019 and was nominated for the Grimme-Preis in 2019. Schrader has also composed music for various projects, including Thomas Melle's theater piece Ännie in 2016.
