Catharina Sieland, known professionally as Cäthe, was born on November 21, 1982, in Staßfurt, Germany. She began her musical journey at twelve when she received her first guitar. After moving to Hamburg in 2005, Cäthe released her debut EP Señorita in 2010. Her breakthrough came with the release of her first album Ich Muss Gar Nichts in 2011, which peaked at number 56 on the German Album Charts. Notable singles from this period include "Unter Meiner Haut" and "Ding". Cäthe gained wider recognition through appearances on television shows like Inas Nacht. She received the German Music Authors' Prize in 2012. Her subsequent albums include Verschollenes Tier (2013) and Vagabund (2015).
