Anni Rossi, an American musician from Minnesota, started her musical journey at age 4 with violin lessons and later learned classical piano. She attended the Perpich Center for Arts Education and the California Institute of the Arts. Rossi's debut album, Scandia, was released in 2005 by Folktale Records while she was still a student at CalArts. After touring with Electrelane in 2007, Rossi signed to Too Pure and released her single "Wheelpusher" followed by the EP Afton in October 2008 through 4AD Records. Her album, Rockwell, was recorded with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago and released in March 2009 through 4AD Records. Rossi toured extensively, including appearances at South by Southwest (SXSW) and performances with Noah and the Whale, Camera Obscura, the Ting Tings, and Micachu and the Shapes. Her song "Land Majestic" featured in The Good Wife episode 56, while "Crushing Limbs" appeared in Sirens.
