Roger Baptist (born July 14, 1966, in Großenhain, East Germany) is a German electropunk and industrial singer, musician, lyricist, and bodybuilder. Professionally known as “Rummelsnuff”, Baptist was trained as a bassoonist and performed in a symphonic orchestra during his youth. In 1987, he formed the group Kein Mitleid, and in 1989, he joined the underground band Freunde der italienischen Oper, contributing to the album Um Thron und Liebe (1991). Following his tenure in the EBM group Automatic Noir (1992–1999), Baptist worked as a bouncer at the Berlin club Berghain before resuming his music career as “Rummelsnuff” in 2005. He released his debut solo album, Halt durch!, in 2008 on ZickZack Records. His later discography includes Sender Karlshorst (2010), Kraftgewinn (2013), and the 2025 album Seeadler, a collaboration with Christian Asbach. His style, termed “Derbe Strommusik”, frequently features worker-themed lyrics.
