Lukestar, a Norwegian rock band formed in Oslo in 1995 under the original name Luke Warm, began their musical journey with a fusion of hardcore punk and indie rock. The band released their first EP, Code:Distance, in 2002, followed by their debut full-length album, Alpine Unit, in 2004. In 2008, Lukestar released their second album, Lake Toba, which earned them the Spellemannprisen (Norwegian Grammy Award) for Best Rock Band. The band underwent a lineup change in 2008 and released their third album, Taiga, in 2011. The band disbanded in 2012, concluding with a farewell concert at Parkteatret in Oslo on August 31 of that year.
