Psiglo, a rock music group from Uruguay, was formed in 1971 by César Rechac on bass, Luis Cesio on guitar, Jorge García Banegas on keyboards, Carmelo Albano on drums, and Julio Dallier on vocals. The band's name originated from a dream and was later modified to "Psiglo." In November 1971, they performed alongside Totem at the Barock event in Buenos Aires. Their first single "Gente sin camino" was released in July 1972. In August of the same year, Psiglo held their debut concert at the Teatro Solís and later performed at the Festival de la Solidaridad Chile-Vietnam. Their second single, released in December 1972, achieved gold status. In January 1973, they completed their first album Ideación. The band's second LP, Psiglo II, was recorded in July 1974 but censored by the dictatorship; it was eventually released in 1981 without the track "Héroe de papel." Psiglo disbanded in April 1975.
