Quebec rock band from Quebec City, Canada, founded in 1971 following the breakup of Les Maîtres. Its initial members were Christian Simard, Jocelyn Julien, Michel Vallée and Raymond Roy. In 1971, the group rebranded itself as Morse Code Transmission, and released their eponymous, all-English debut LP that same year. In 1972, they released another album in the language of Shakespeare. In the autumn of 1974, the band shortened its name to Morse Code and released their first French-language single, featuring the songs " Demain tout va changer " and " Prends ton temps ". Guitarist and flautist Daniel Lemay joins the band in early 1975. The group went on to produce three albums in as many years: La Marche des Hommes (1975), Procréation (1976) and Je Suis le Temps (1977 ). Six songs from these albums made the Quebec charts, including " Cocktail ", " La Cérémonie de minuit " and " Qu'est-ce que t'a compris? During these years, he shared the stage with Quebec bands of the moment, including Harmonium and Octobre. In March 1978, the group disbanded for the first time. In 1982, the group returned, with a few changes to the line-up. In 1983, Morse Code released a French-language single featuring " La Course " and " Le Prisonnier ", as well as the English-language album Code Breaker. This was followed by a tour with the band Asia. In 1995, the band reunited again, resulting in the opus D'un Autre Monde . In 2018, the band reunites once again, with original bassist Michel Vallée, Daniel Lemay and three new members: Gilles Beaudoin, Gilles Simard and Jean Ravel, and performs throughout the province of Quebec.
