Next Life, a Norwegian progressive, electronic and rock-based band, was formed in 1999 in Tønsberg by guitarist and composer Hai Nguyen Dinh. The band was known for their aggressive, visceral sound influenced by hardcore punk, metal, and game music. Their first performance took place at the Royal Oak, utilizing an electric guitar, synth, and Amiga computer. Next Life released their debut single "Red End" in 2000 and followed it with the album Electric Violence in 2006. Subsequent albums include The Lost Age (2009) and Artificial Divinity (2011). Next Life toured the UK in support of Owen Pallett in 2010 and provided the opening act for Mayhem in Berlin that same year.
