Goodbye To Gravity, a Romanian metalcore band from Bukarest, was founded in 2011 by Andrei Galut (vocals), Alex Pascu (bass guitar), Vlad Țelea and Mihai Alexandru (guitars), and Bogdan Enache (drums). The band released their self-produced debut album Goodbye to Gravity in November 2012. In January 2013, they won a Metalhead Award for Metal Album of the Year 2012. Their second studio album Mantras of War was released in October 2015 via Universal Music Romania. Tragically, during a concert at Klub Colectiv to celebrate the release of Mantras of War, a fire broke out on October 30, 2015, resulting in the deaths of Vlad Țelea and Mihai Alexandru. Bogdan Enache passed away on November 8, 2015, while Alex Pascu died on November 11, 2015. Andrei Galut survived but was severely injured.
