Hell is a British heavy metal band formed in Derbyshire in 1982 by guitarist Kev Bower, bassist Tony Speakman, and drummer Tim Bowler, with vocalist Dave G. Halliday joining the line‑up. Their early work included the self‑released single "Save Us" in 1983 on their own label, Deadly Weapon, and the EP Copa in 1999. After a brief split in 1987, the group re‑formed in 2008 and signed to Nuclear Blast, releasing their debut full‑length album Human Remains on 16 May 2011; the record entered the German charts at number 46 that week. In 2013 the band issued Curse and Chapter, accompanied by the single "End Ov Days" on 30 November 2014, and embarked on extensive tours across Europe supporting acts such as Accept, Amon Amarth, and Carcass. Throughout the 2010s Hell performed at major festivals including MetalFest Open Air, Bloodstock Open Air, and Wacken Open Air, earning the “Best Mainstage Performance” vote at Bloodstock in 2011.
