Riccardo Stracciari, born on June 26, 1875, in Casalecchio di Reno, Italy, was an Italian baritone. He studied at the Bologna Conservatory and made his professional debut in 1899 at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna with Pesori's La risurrezione di Christo. His operatic debut followed in 1900 as Marcello in Puccini’s La bohème in Rovigo. Stracciari debuted internationally at the Royal Opera House, London, in 1905, and at the New York Metropolitan Opera on December 1, 1906, as Germont in La traviata. His repertoire included roles such as Rigoletto and Figaro. He made complete recordings of Rigoletto and Il barbiere di Siviglia in 1929 with Mercedes Capsir and Dino Borgioli. Stracciari's career spanned from 1899 to 1944, performing widely across Europe and America. He passed away on October 10, 1955, in Rome.
