Clark Tracey, born on February 5, 1961 in London, England, is a British jazz drummer, bandleader, and composer. He started playing drums at age 13 under Bryan Spring and began his professional career collaborating with his father Stan Tracey from 1978 t0 2013. Tracey has performed with notable musicians such as Bud Shank, Johnny Griffin, Red Rodney, and Pharoah Sanders. His own ensembles have featured artists like Django Bates and Guy Barker. Tracey's discography includes albums such as Suddenly Last Tuesday (1986), Full Speed Sideways (1994), Stability (2000), and Jubilation (2016). He has won the "Best Drums" category six times in the British Jazz Awards and was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in 2019 for his contributions to music.
